A Peek at What’s New in k-ecommerce R2 2025

6 February 2025

What’s new in k-ecommerce for release R2 2025, you ask?

A dedicated focus on elevating the customer experience, because there’s always room to make a great solution even better — and because at k-ecommerce, we believe in not just meeting, but exceeding, what our customers and advocates expect of us.

We heard your feedback, took the capabilities you most wanted to see, then made them a reality.

What’s the Latest? Turning Feature Requests into Powerful New Capabilities with k-ecommerce

For our last release in June (R1 2025), we dropped a blog post explaining everything we did to bring you better user data privacy, improved content management flexibility, and BOGO discount support.

Now, it’s time to announce the latest product updates again — and we’re giving you another comprehensive look at everything that’s new. Think: more control, more powerful integrations, and a more streamlined checkout process. But that’s not all.

Here’s an overview of everything that’s new in k-ecommerce’s latest release.

1. We made our Google Tag Manager integration more powerful.

Earlier this year, we made it possible for users to add the Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers to their website, so they could do basic tag setup and management. Now, we’ve gone a step further, supporting several built-in events: which means it’ll be easy for admins to send data to Google Analytics with no coding required. And for advanced users, it means you can now create custom events.

It’s not only a much more powerful integration, but it enables automated tracking of key website interactions without the need for manual configurations, so you can track and manage marketing tags like a pro, no matter your skill level!

2. The checkout process just got even faster, thanks to autocomplete.

Nobody likes checkout errors, so it’s time to reduce them. Our new address autocomplete and validation feature streamlines the shipping process, by not just reducing errors but also saving time.

For k-ecommerce customers, all you need to do is open an account with Google Address Autocomplete and link it to k-ecommerce, and you can take advantage right away.

3. We added color swatches to product pages, so you can see all your options instantly.

Whether B2B or B2C, shopping is a visual experience — especially online, when you can’t physically see, hold, or evaluate the products you’re browsing. And when those products come in multiple color varieties, it makes sense to want to browse through and see each one.

That’s why we’ve added highly-requested color swatches to product detail pages. Now, users can easily view the available color choices, helping them make more informed purchasing decisions.

4. We made product attribute filtering more efficient.

Our new Dynamic Attribute Filtering functionality tackles a long-standing pain point for teams managing large product inventories. This feature allows customers to select one attribute, and instantly filter down the available options for the next, making the product configuration process smoother and more intuitive. No more overwhelming grids of out-of-stock options, ever.

5. You can now display unique content on invoices, per website.

This update allows each site to display unique content on invoices (like automatically showing the correct tax registration number on invoices when sites are located in different states or provinces). No more manual workarounds for our customers looking to expand their business to new regions.

6. You can now go into maintenance mode directly from the admin.

Users can now easily put their website into maintenance mode directly from the admin as they choose: a direct response to requests for more control over temporary maintenance that doesn’t require IT support from our team. Now, you’re empowered to take control and own maintenance mode yourself.

7. Got search keywords you want to work with? Now you can export them.

Finally, admins can now not just see and sort through, but export, keyword searches from the admin site. Users can now easily download search data for deeper analysis and optimization, helping them better understand customer behavior and improve site performance without analysis being a time-consuming process.

The Better Way to do B2B Ecommerce and Payments

While the out-of-the-box capabilities of k-ecommerce already give you a reliable, personalized, and buyer-loved ERP-integrated ecommerce experience for B2B, we, nonetheless, regularly make time to drop some additional enhancements. This was a peek at release R2 2025, but there’s more coming this year.

And as always, it’s all based on what our own customers have told us would make their lives, and their jobs, easier.
