What’s new in 2024? K-ecommerce update R1 2024
17 June 2024SaaS technology users want scalable solutions that reduce inefficiency, improve business agility, and grow in value over time. They’re making significant software investments to reach these goals, yet still failing to get the most out of their systems.
A big part of the problem?
They’re not making the most of the functionality available to them — often because they’re not aware of the features, don’t have the internal knowledge to implement them, or are unequipped to train their teams to use them.
But there’s a better way to maximize the value of your SaaS investments. And with k-ecommerce, you’ll never miss out on a business-critical feature drop because you don’t have the information you need.
Here’s the latest from our recent product updates.

At k-ecommerce, we know information is power. And we believe in keeping customers informed at all times, which means being as transparent, comprehensive, and informative as possible with product updates.
This time around, we’ve made enhancements to both k-ecommerce and our payment management solution, KIP.
Let’s first explore what the latest R1 2024 update brings to k-ecommerce.
(Think: better user data privacy, improved content management flexibility, and more of the features your customers want, like BOGO discount support.)
1. Buy-one-get-one (BOGO) discounts
K-ecommerce, as a solution purpose-built for B2B, has long supported a variety of complex discounts online, like volume-based, bundle or kit-based, and customer-specific offers. Now, with R1 2024’s latest enhancements, we’re thrilled to add another discount type to the capabilities list: buy-one-get-one (BOGO) promotions.
3. Content validation and restoration
With k-ecommerce, you’ll never lose or accidentally overwrite killer web content again. Our new Content Validation feature lets you review and identify any changes made to your content, apply corrections, and/or restore them to their original version with ease.4. A stylish new theme (available in both light and dark style)
We’ve added a sleek new option to our range of adaptive standard and custom web themes, so you can optimize the visual appeal and functionality of your platform without compromising your brand aesthetic. This means you get even more design control —and variety— at your fingertips.5. A few bonuses (including support for multi-order tracking)
In addition to the bigger feature updates, we’ve also added some extra functionality to underscore our commitment to data privacy and customer experience, like:- A personal data policy banner (which lets you show a personal information usage disclaimer to each web visitor)
- Support for multi-order tracking (from a single order tracking page)
What’s new with KIP in R1 2024?
The changes we’ve made to KIP are all centered around giving you a more efficient and configurable payment management experience. For KIP users running on Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics GP, additional enhancements make getting paid even easier — with options for your staff to pay multiple invoices at once or self-serve to add a credit card on account.
1. Configurable payment reminders and rules
With k-ecommerce, you can now send customers automated reminders for payments that are near due date and/or past due, including a secure link to pay instantly. You can also set payment rules so customers always pay their oldest invoice first.
And it’s all fully configurable.
2. Even more payment and account management flexibility (for KIP integrated with Business Central)
What if you could manage your payments, equally well or better, in less time? Now, k-ecommerce lets customers running on Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics GP be even more proactive in giving customers payment options. Whether they want a secure way to pay an invoice instantly via an email click pay link, or a foolproof way to pay multiple invoices at once, it’s simple.
Plus, if they need to add a credit card on account, you can send them an invitation to do so directly — even if it’s for multiple users with multiple cards within one account. Where you once had to send each invite manually, our Credit Card Batch Invite feature now lets you send individual invitations to that account in a single batch. And for even more flexibility, this functionality is available for k-ecommerce without KIP as well.

What you missed in R2 2023: Enhanced usability, accessibility, and performance
Regularly releasing new functionality through software updates is one of the most important ways k-ecommerce embraces rapid innovation. We listen to feedback, keep a pulse on the market, and look ahead at tomorrow’s customer needs to bring you the made-for-B2B ecommerce features you need most.
We also know that when it comes to fresh features, a few priorities top the list. And the ones SaaS users say are opportunities you can’t miss? They’re:
- The ones leveraging automation for efficiency
- The ones improving customer and employee experiences
- The ones ensuring security and agility
- And the ones improving integration with other tools
Fortunately, k-ecommerce’s feature updates continue to check boxes across the board.
Last year —with k-ecommerce release R2 2023— came improvements to the user experience, to our back-end code, and to performance capabilities. We completely modernized and revamped our user interface, including on mobile. We launched a brand-new web page builder (watch tutorial). And we made it easier than ever to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.
With R1 2024, we’ve taken our commitment to made-for-B2B innovation another step further.
